A Kurdish YPJ fighter wakes up heavily wounded in a house, where she finds all her family members killed around her. She notices the house is surrounded by IS. She is out of ammunition. In her pocket there is only one bullet left. How is she gonna use her last bullet?

Zilan Hemo is a young writer and director from Kobanê. She studied filmmaking at the Academy of Arts Martyr Yekta Herekol. After she graduated, she was one of the first members of the Rojava Film Commune in Kobane where she directed many short films and worked in all the productions of the Commune since 2018. Zilan also published a collection of stories from her grandmother, Çirok bi roj nayên gotin and a book of short stories.
